Since COVID she has taken on a challenging role running the reception area, a shy person it has been great to see her come out of her shell. She has had some fantastic ideas in the Practice and is a very calming nature in the Practice. Practice Management can be very daunting but with all the challenges thrown at her she has certainly shown she had what it takes. - Lisa Mitchell
< Back Lisa Mitchell Wellbeing Award Winner If i can nominate Lisa everyday, I would. Since taking over the role of our Practice Manager almost 3 years ago, she has completely turned it around. She has ensured our working environment is a nicer place to be i.e., part revamp in many areas both clinical and non clinical, employed more staff to take the pressure of in many areas, invested in staff to upskill when they have shown and interest and worked with the partners to increase pay to ensure that all staff members are fully appreciated. On top of all this, she has always been considerate and fair with all staff members, arranged wellbeing events for the staff and ensures that staff are fully supported in their working environment. Even after having a tough year herself personally, Lisa always manages to come in with a smile for everyone and still keeps a lovely approachable manner. If Carlsberg did Practice Managers..... Patients and staff love her, she is kind, empathetic and extremely hard working. She has worked tirelessly day and night put in extra hours at the weekend and still comes into the team with a smile on her face and a positive attitude. She has great relationships with the bank staff and all value her just as much as our team does. She is very passionate about the clinics that are held and ensuring patients have the best experience they can. Sue worked so hard on introducing Cytology into the service and we are all so proud of her every day. She makes us smile so much and is always there for us whether its a bad or good day. WE LOVE YOU SUE! <3" For always stepping in and going above and beyond for the team. "I strongly feel this award should go to Sue as I believe her commitment to the role she has is so admirable given it is an extremely difficult area to manage logistically and mentally due to so many moving parts/ changes in circumstances. I have worked with many people and organisations that manage the coordination of services and I know this is not an easy task to manage, however, Sue is just built differently and still does it with a smile on her face, which I have not seen before and is a first for me haha. she has an amazing commitment to her role and team and works all the hours this universe sends to ensure everything continues to run smoothly for patients and clinical staff (amazing)" Facebook X (Twitter) WhatsApp LinkedIn Pinterest Copy link

- Pennine Surgery Reception Team
< Back Pennine Surgery Reception Team Excellence in Reception Award Runner Up "I have worked across many surgeries and I have to say that the team at Pennine always go above and beyond. They never react to even the harshest of interactions when patients are unwell frustrated and angry and remain ever professional. They aim to help out where they can and often are able to sort out problems at source which are more social or administrative despite the patients' insistence on speaking the doctors about them. They guide and comfort and also have amazing clinical acumen for non clinicians - able to point out a regular patient who may look unwell , even in the local supermarket! and get them booked in. They help those who are frail and elderly to navigate a difficult system of bookings referrals results etc and they always look after us clinicians - they protect us so we can look after the unwell and take a lot of the brunt of the frustration themselves as well as keeping me fed and watered. I am super proud of our amazing reception team at Pennine. Facebook X (Twitter) WhatsApp LinkedIn Pinterest Copy link
