- Pennine Surgery Reception Team
< Back Pennine Surgery Reception Team Excellence in Reception Award Runner Up "I have worked across many surgeries and I have to say that the team at Pennine always go above and beyond. They never react to even the harshest of interactions when patients are unwell frustrated and angry and remain ever professional. They aim to help out where they can and often are able to sort out problems at source which are more social or administrative despite the patients' insistence on speaking the doctors about them. They guide and comfort and also have amazing clinical acumen for non clinicians - able to point out a regular patient who may look unwell , even in the local supermarket! and get them booked in. They help those who are frail and elderly to navigate a difficult system of bookings referrals results etc and they always look after us clinicians - they protect us so we can look after the unwell and take a lot of the brunt of the frustration themselves as well as keeping me fed and watered. I am super proud of our amazing reception team at Pennine. Facebook X (Twitter) WhatsApp LinkedIn Pinterest Copy link

- Amanda Clegg
< Back Amanda Clegg Leadership Award Runner Up I have met an awful lot of people in the same position as Amanda throughout my previous career, up and down the country but I can confidently say I have never met someone like her before. She is truly an inspiration to me because of her ability to problem-solve, multi-task, dynamically learn, and think incredibly logically within high-pressure situations alongside her amazing wealth of knowledge. All of this while being literally one of the most caring and understanding people/ employers I have known in my lifetime. These { Personal settings :) } often come separate in people or are turned off by default and take years of character-building to understand, however, I can see in Amanda her qualities are very real or True Grit because of this she creates an atmosphere that breeds creativity, forward-thinking and freedom to innovate for me personally which I think many others will agree. Thank you so much :) Sorry for the duplicate please remove N/A sent without message by mistake T Facebook X (Twitter) WhatsApp LinkedIn Pinterest Copy link
- Briana Martin & Sophie Haynes
< Back Briana Martin & Sophie Haynes Amazing Addition Award Winner Briana and Sophie job share the Care Co-ordinator role at Peterloo Medical Centre, and only started in this role end of February 2024, replacing a departing staff member. Both of them have absolutely revolutionised the role in their respective areas of work with more efficient processes being implemented by them both and also picking up and correcting some screening areas that had been coded incorrectly in the prior 12 months that affected our Practice targets. Both Briana and Sophie were receptionists at the practice, but all of the duties within their roles were completely brand new to them. Both have absolutely thrived in their new roles, bearing in mind that their new roles require chairing of meetings, writing of minutes, dealing with outside agencies relating to sensitive areas such as Safeguarding and End of Life Care. As their manager, it has been an absolute joy to watch both these staff members transform from fairly quiet staff members to very confident staff taking up lead roles within the practice. They have developed an amazing relationship with the Patient Participation Group also, arranging clinical and outside speakers such as Health Watch Rochdale to attend the meeting. Feedback from PPG members has been excellent for both. They should both be very proud of what they have achieved in such a short space of time.
